Tara Villanova

Tara grew up in the very rural Northwest corner of RI, in Foster-Glocester. Her pottery combines the burgundies, greens, browns and textures of the woods and lakes of her hometown, with the blues, turquoise, grays and sparkling shimmer of the beautiful RI coast. Tara earned her BFA from RISD as a ceramics major. However, she got side tracked in an advertising career as a layout artist, then a creative director. Thankfully, this allowed her to put herself through grad school to earn a Masters in Art Education and to raise her two sons. She currently loves teaching Art from K through 5th grade in Cumberland. Pottery continues to be her creative outlet and one she can't live without!
